Cisco and Microsoft are deeply engaged in helping service providers succeed. Read on to learn more about the primary features and benefits of our new, joint offering for service providers.

Comprehensive and Integrated Cloud Platform

Cisco Cloud Architecture for the Microsoft Cloud Platform is the result of joint product and solution engineering and is a Cisco validated architecture. It delivers infrastructure-, platform-, and software-as a-service (IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS) with integrated management software.

Integration of the Cisco Application Policy Infrastructure Controller (APIC) into Microsoft System Center and Windows Azure Pack (WAP) enables packaged enterprise services with a lifecycle approach to policy management.

Application Centric Infrastructure is a multi-vendor, software-defined networking (SDN) technology that maps application policies and dependencies to the infrastructure that delivers applications on a dynamic workload basis. The result is on-demand, efficient consumption of infrastructure resources and a simplified operational model for the provider.

Increased Profit Potential

Service Providers will be able to:

  • Offer new, differentiated services
  • Gain operational simplicity and control through integration between Microsoft System Center and the Cisco Intercloud-ready UCS server platform
  • Enjoy lower TCO and operating expenditures

There is no need for third-party orchestration and management tools. And the cloud provider can have visibility into the WAN through a single pane of glass.

Faster Time to Market

  • Deploy a lifecycle approach to policy management
  • Get comprehensive go-to-market support with eligibility to participate in Cisco Powered and Microsoft Cloud OS Network (COSN) programs, from solution build-out to demand creation
  • Enjoy seamless access to hybrid cloud environments through the Intercloud and Microsoft Azure
