MDS-SAN-OS Fabric_Manager - Pre 3.2 (2c) |
Problem Description
Customers with a large fabric with FMS Performance Manager configured to monitor and collect stats for the fabric could see slow performance or out of memory messages.
Background
Fabric Manager Software releases prior to 3.2 (2c) used HSQL database, which had size limitations. Starting with Fabric Manager software release 3.2 (2c), Cisco added the options to use PostgreSQL or Oracle 10g express edition, and improvements in performance.
Problem Symptoms
If HSQL database used by Fabric Manager grows to it limits users might see messages similar to the following in the FMserver.log file:
java.sql.SQLException: S1000 General error java.util.NoSuchElementException in statement
This may indicate that the database has reached its capacity.
Workaround/Solution
Customers with large fabrics are recommended to upgrade to Cisco Fabric Manager software version 3.2 (2c) or later.
Please use the following link for details on upgrading the version of Cisco Fabric Manager:
