Product Migration Options
The recommended replacement option for the Cisco 802 and 804 ISDN routers are the Cisco 830 Series Secure Broadband Routers. Table 3 shows the Cisco 831 router as the most direct replacement, however, any of the Cisco 830 Series Routers can be used.
With the transition from ISDN service in North America to broadband services, such as DSL and cable access, customers should consider the Cisco 830 Series Secure Broadband Routers, which use the same Cisco IOS® Software as the Cisco 802 and 804 ISDN routers and incorporate additional security and performance features.
